Vagina and Genitals
Vaginitis
Vaginitis can be caused by bacteria, fungi, or parasites. Don't wash the vaginal area with soap, but add a few drops of grapefruit seed extract, possibly together with tea tree oil, to the water you use for washing. Use the following vaginal rinse for at least one week: Add 1 to 3 drops of grapefruit seed extract to a 6 to 8 ft. oz. glass of warm water and mix well. (If desired, 5 drops of echinacea tincture can also be added.) Draw this mixture into a commercially available syringe (without the needle), carefully insert, and squirt the mixture into the vagina. To do this, lie on your back and lift your pelvis. Instead of a syringe, a feminine douche that you can buy in pharmacies may also be used. Repeat every 12 hours during the first 3 days of the treatment, then once a day.
A further possibility is to soak a tampon with the prepared mixture and insert for between 1 to 6 hours (depending on what feels fight for you). The grapefruit seed extract can be mixed with sesame oil instead of water, which has an additional beneficial effect on the mucous membranes and protects them from drying out. About 20 drops of grapefruit seed extract can be added to the last rinse when you wash your underwear in order to avoid reinfection.
In addition, panty liners can be sprayed with a grapefruit seed extract skin spray. To regenerate the vaginal flora after the treatment, mix some natural, unfiavored yoghurt with an equal amount of warm water and squirt it into the vagina. The success rate for treatment is extraordinarily good.
Never use the seed extract in its undiluted form in the vaginal area!
Fungal Infections of the Vagina (Yeast Infections)
If the vaginal infection has been caused by a fungus ( Candida albicans), the measures described above should be applied and even continued for some time after the symptoms have disappeared. The sexual partner should always be informed in the case of a fungal infection since he will usually be affected as well. (See "Fungal and Parasitic Diseases in the Male Genital Area.") in most cases of a Candida infection in the vagina, the intestines are infected by the same yeast fungus. It is therefore advisable to treat the intestines at the same time.
Vaginal Parasites
One of the most frequent types of vaginal infections is caused by a microscopic parasite by the name of Trichomonas vaginalis. The infestation becomes apparent through a putrid smelling vaginal discharge with inflammation and burning. g in the vagina. it is estimated that about 30% of all women are affected by this parasite at some time. it is usually transmitted by sexual intercourse and can cause a non-specific arthritis (inflammation of the urethral mucous membrane). See treatment instructions under "Vaginitis."
Feminine Hygiene
Grapefruit seed extract can also be used for general hygiene in the vaginal area. Add a few drops to the water you use for washing. A grapefruit seed shower gel which contains no soap or a skin cleanser containing grapefruit seed extract can be used as well. Never use the extract in its undiluted form in the vaginal area!
Fungal and Parasitic Diseases in the Male Genital Area
Fungal and parasitic infections can be transmitted very easily during sexual intercourse. For this reason, the male partner should also be aware of the possibility of being infected. A few drops of grapefruit seed extract can be spread onto wet hands and rubbed into the penis for treatment purposes. Don't rinse it off afterwards. A mixture containing 10 drops of extract in an egg-cup of sesame oil is also suitable for this purpose. Let it take effect for several minutes. Grapefruit seed extract should never be poured onto the penis in its undiluted form since this could lead to intensive irritation.
The measures outlined above should be continued for about 2 weeks. The chances of being cured are very good. In addition, add 20 drops of grapefruit seed extract to the last rinse When washing your underwear for the next several weeks in order to prevent reinfection. Grapefruit seed extract soap, shower gel, or skin cleanser can also be used as a preventative measure. If the infection has spread to the urethrai mucous membrane, it is advisable to also take the extract orally. Please refer to the instructions for internal use.
