Shed the light Incorporated is a volunteer not-for-profit charity organisation and does not receive any government funding.

We receive financial donations and sponsorship from families or individuals. 100% of donations and sponsorship goes directly to supporting the children.

All admin and shop expenses are covered from funds generated by our shops in Kenilworth and Maleny.

Please contact us if you wish to sponsor an individual or family or wish to make a donation.

Sponsor a child at the children's centre for $60 Australian dollars a month, which amounts to $720 for a full year. This will cover his/her daily needs, food, health, education, clothing, care.

Sponsor a family for $100 Australian dollars a month ($1,200 for a full year).
This covers food, clothing, household items, education for children, medicine.

Sponsor a street kid in Thamel for $40 Australian dollars a month (full year $480) to cover food, clothing, blanket, toiletries, medicine.

Educate a child or young adult by donating or committing to a monthly amount for a set number of years (for example $100 per month for 5 years).

• learning equipment
• for people in hardship on the streets of Kathmandu, Pokhara, or other areas
• medicine for an older person

Financial membership - We are still in discussion about this.

Volunteer at our shops in either Kenilworth or Maleny, gain confidence and valuable skills working in a team environment. Develop your communication, retail and people skills, and enhance your customer service ability.

Share your knowledge and skills, expand your horizons and add variety to your work experiences. When you volunteer it becomes a stepping stone to paid work. A reference will be written for your to use in your CV.
